Located in downtown Olympia, across from Percival landing, there is a special little workshop inhabited by your local gay sewist Marlo! Marlo has been sewing and creating with this medium for over a decade. Starting with quilts and altering their own clothes, over the years they have become proficient in the art of fabric manipulation. 
They are really quite curious about any project ideas you may have (so don't be shy, enquire); however, they  find great pleasure in getting a garment to fit a person's beautifully unique body-- especially if it is gender affirming or you are (like most people) not of standard size, weight and shape. 
They have sewed costumes for local performance groups like the String and Shadow puppet theater company, collaborated on ensemble dance costumes for Moving Parts Dance company, built all kinds of strange costumes for Night Mayor the musical theatre producers, made Jim Henson-esque puppets for American Marriage Ministries commercial, built numerous aerial costumes for over a decade of time in the circus. and costumed for the Playground Project, a three year experimental renegade theater show in Olympia.
